In my FAQs, I defined digitizing as “…the process of creating a file that the embroidery machine can read and execute.It involves converting drawings to a computer file that embroidery machines read and stitch, similar to computer programming. Depending on the complexity/size of the original artwork or design, digitizing can be simple or complex, and the fee to digitize a design may vary from $20 on up.”
While some customer’s needs involve plugging in pre-digitized letters and numbers, most designs need some degree of specialized digitizing.
