Hi and welcome. I’m Donna Austin, owner and sole operator of Needle Moon Embroidery, LLC. I have been embroidering as a hobby for over ten years, but decided to pursue it as a home-based business as I gained more knowledge of the industry and its various techniques.
Embroidery marries two areas of interest for me: Computer technology and art. As a teen, I enjoyed drawing people, lettering, and static objects. Later, I joined the Air Force and ended up in a profession that took me away from art, but engaged my interest in computer technology. I was wowed by the efficiency of the early computers, and how they transformed the tasks I normally did by other methods. I had a favorite shirt with applique on it; when I was shown how this was done through machine embroidery, I was hooked.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology, which allowed me to understand getting designs from the computer to the embroidery machine. I am working on mastering the technical knowledge needed to digitize designs (create them from scratch).
I performed two special duty assignments in the Air Force: Military Training Instructor and Military Training Advisor, (better known as “Drill Sergeant”). These two jobs required lots of attention to detail and achieving quality results. I took those principles and applied them to embroidery with satisfying results. I do my very best to get the kind of results I would expect as a customer.
I’m a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren ranging in age from toddler to teenager. When I am not embroidering, I enjoy playing on my iPad, watching TV with my husband, and spending time with family and friends.

Embroidery design files obtained from Needle Moon Embroidery may be used freely for personal use. Commercial use of this design is limited to 100 per design.
You may NOT resell the embroidery design files to, or allow its use by, another individual, company, or other entity, nor alter them for purposes of reselling.
You may not share, trade, or otherwise transfer the embroidery design files to another party. This includes copying and sharing with friends or family.
Each user must purchase their own designs.
You may not share download links/codes with anyone. This is considered a form of sharing and distributing.
COPYRIGHT: All embroidery designs and embroidery design files available at this site, whether purchased or obtained free of charge (including free designs), are owned by Needle Moon Embroidery, under copyright, and protected under U.S. and international copyright laws. The act of copying the embroidery designs and distributing them in any fashion is not permitted, is a copyright violation, and is consequently illegal. However, it is permissible that the embroidery design files be copied for sole purposes of maintaining a backup in the event of a computer crash or loss of the original.
All graphic images of embroidery designs displayed at this site are owned by or licensed to Needle Moon Embroidery, under copyright, and protected under U.S. and international copyright laws. The graphics and/or artwork may not be used as part of any process to create an embroidery design or embroidery design file.
